Good to see the snow! Mount Jackson is located in the Lewis Range, Glacier National Park in the U.S. state of Montana. Mount Jackson is the fourth tallest mountain in Glacier National Park and it is situated on the Continental Divide. Both the mountain and its namesake Jackson Glacier are easily seen from the Going-to-the-Sun Road. Elevation: 10,052′

On the big monitor, this is incredible. Is that a road along the mountain?
I find it amazing that it snowed this early. Have you ever witnessed a *July* snow?!
Beautiful
Someone I know recently drove the road and made this 3D video. The viewer can pan 360 degrees while viewing. youtu.be/16pXC7CKbp8?si=EBpz5j09UcaIfFzj

Flathead River southest of Kalispell. The slough to the right, close by, is Half Moon Slough. Here is a map with some of the wetland/slough names along the river: www.flatheadrivertolake.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/R2L-maps-2-1.jpg
Love these river shots!!! 👍👍❤️

Fun fact about the lake’s name; with Kootnai national forest nearby, the lake sits in both Canada and USA so they combined all 3 names when they named the lake Koo Can🇨🇦USA🇺🇸
Love that little town! ❤️LOTS of family there!! ❤️❤️❤️

Sad to think another 15-20 years there wont be much to see in the valley floor but buildings... Kalispell isn't the quiet safe small town I used to be.
What way is this looking, and what intersection is this?
Many thanks for the heavenly perspective on God's country. Getting back to that area is on my bucket list.
Definitely looking to the east. You can see the 'gap' outside of Columbia Falls that leads to the park.
Not to sound to political but I like the Trump sign in the grass.

I got to visit there once. Awesome structure.
I’ve seen many pictures of the dam…best “dam” photo I’ve ever seen!
It's actually called a "morning glory spillway."
My Grandpa Leon Overstreet helped build that dam. Here's to the real Men that were.
Oh that’s crazy. I’m actually on my way there right now. To clean 3 of there porta potties. Including the one behind this trailer.
Had to google glory hole. Wish I hadn’t 😬 Nice shot tho!
Best fishing I’ve ever done 2 miles behind that
My Dad, his 2 brothers, my Grandfather and my Great Uncle helped build this!
My dad helped build it! My mom worked in the mess tent.
My favorite body of inland water !
My dad helped build it.
I actually live 30 minutes away from the dam. In a crappy little town called Kalispell Montana. It's like Deliverance out here, except the cops are the hillbillies you've got to watch out for..
Love Hungry Horse Dam. I had uncles who worked on building the dam back in the day
My crew & I did all the pavement markings on & around the dam! Awesome project
Beautiful picture. I had to pause at the description tallest glory hole. Hoover dam has a taller glory hall with a hydraulic head of 590 ft. (you can stop laughing now) where Hungry Horse is 520 ft. But Hungry Horse is the worlds highest in elevation glory hole.
Phrasing from a middle school teacher: “this is biggest morning glory style dam in the world “. However, your phrasing is much more entertaining! 🤣 Great picture!
The website www.usbr.gov/pn/hungryhorse/info/index.html says it's only an outdoor walking tour that they offer now. Before 911 you used to be able to tour inside.
Wow! What an awesome shot!!
Glory hole always makes me giggle then you add tallest glory hole to it...and I can't take it seriously...🤣
This dam and reservoir is stunningly gorgeous. Located right here in NW Montana!
Lived about all my life below this amazing dam
Been there many times. Love it. Picked buckets of huckleberries. Gorgeous area.
What an amazing photo
Love going there. It’s beautiful
Meta AI also says it created Lake Koocanusa… 🙃🤦🏼♂️
Big fan of this little lake just above Grant Ridge.

Me too! I’ve stopped there to refill water before. Lifesaver.

If you zoom in you can see three crimes being committed
It’s lovely- but they will continue to cut down those pines for more and more housing development as they are doing all around that beautiful place, as well as Idaho.
One of my favorite places!!
Wow. You can barely see the roof of my house that I just sold by the curve in the river. Miss my place by the river
The "Starving Stud".
Of that photo were a smidge wider angle, I coulda seen my house. Lol
That has to be one of the wildest little towns in America. Watch ur 6😉
Great shot!!!!! 👍👍👍
Lived in the Forest Service housing, which isnt there anymore, in 1960.
I sold a lot as a Realtor, in H.H. that was 120 ft X 1300 ft that almost cut the town in half.
Went thru early morning Wednesday 8-7-24, beautiful.
Imagine trying to put a 50x50 lot somewhere 😫 #TheSims
Beautiful
Is it canyon critter or critter canyon?
Love it. Remember seeing them build the dam and, at that time, 1951, them saying that 3 men had died in the pouring of the cement. As a child, I never forgot that.
Beautiful
stopped at that gas station for some food. the people were rude but i dont care
